ToruńCAMERIMAGE has scheduled a conversation with actor Grażyna Szapołowska for 6 p.m. local time today, October 20, at the Nicolaus Copernicus Public Provincial Library in Toruń. Journalist Paulina Rubczak is to moderate, and the festival says admission is free.
The event sits alongside a retrospective considering how painting and literature informed Andrzej Wajda’s filmmaking. Its four listed films are Landscape After the Battle, Pan Tadeusz: The Last Foray in Lithuania, Sweet Rush and Afterimage.
Organizers also plan post-screening discussions with actors who worked with Wajda, including Szapołowska and Jan Englert, and a lecture following Afterimage. The announcement does not provide a report of today’s conversation, so none is presumed here.
