Phony premieres on Hulu today with two episodes. Sam Nivola plays Sonny, a teenager recovering from a car crash who becomes convinced that the woman at his hospital bedside is not really his mother. Connie Britton plays Ellen, the parent whose efforts to help him only deepen his suspicion.
