The British Film Institute has announced the juried winners from the 70th London Film Festival, which concluded October 18. Sergei Loznitsa’s Imperium received the Official Competition’s Best Film Award.

The Sutherland Award for a first feature went to Sompot Chidgasornpongse’s 9 Temples to Heaven. Asmahan Bkerat’s Concrete Land won the documentary Grierson Award, while Rahul Roye’s Aman received the Short Film Award.

These are jury decisions, not the festival’s audience awards. The BFI says audience voting remains open through October 21, with those results to follow. Its current notice also makes Aman available to watch free on BFI Player through October 25.
