The American Film Institute has announced three Grand Jury Prize winners from the 40th AFI FEST. Free Eliza (Notes on an Anatomical Imperfection), directed by Alexandra Matheou, received the Live Action Short Film prize.
Living with a Visionary, directed by Stephen P. Neary, won the Animated Short Film prize. A Woman’s Place Is Everywhere, directed by Fanny Texier, received the Documentary Short Film prize.
AFI says the three winners are eligible for consideration in the corresponding short-film categories at the 100th Academy Awards. Eligibility does not guarantee submission acceptance, nomination or an award.
